This Privacy Policy describes how NESTY LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with teenydisplay (the "App") and the teenydisplay website at teenydisplay.com (the "Website").
1. Information We Collect
Information the App stores locally on your device:
- Display settings and identifiers needed to match connected displays
- Presets, shortcuts, brightness-sync choices, onboarding state, and other preferences
- Private trial metadata and license/activation state; license credentials are stored in macOS Keychain
- Recovery copies created locally if the settings database cannot be opened safely
The App does not contain analytics or telemetry, and it does not upload display settings, presets, or shortcuts. Recovery copies remain in Application Support until you remove them.
App network connections:
- Polar: the App sends the license key, organization identifier, activation identifier when available, and a generic app/platform label for license activation, validation, and deactivation
- Sparkle: the App contacts teenydisplay.com to check for and download updates
Website analytics (Google Analytics):
- Page views and session duration
- Browser and device type
- Approximate geographic location
Payment data:
Payments are collected and processed by Polar. NESTY LLC never sees or stores your payment card details. Please refer to Polar's privacy policy for information about how they handle payment data.
2. How We Use Information
- Local App data provides display controls, presets, preferences, recovery, and trial/license state
- Polar processes license activation, validation, and deactivation requests
- Sparkle checks teenydisplay.com for software updates and downloads them when requested
- Google Analytics data helps us understand website traffic and improve the product
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared with the following third parties solely for the purposes described above:
- Google Analytics: website usage data is shared with Google under their data processing terms
- Polar: payment processing and the App's license activation, validation, and deactivation requests. See polar.sh/privacy
Sparkle update checks and downloads are served from teenydisplay.com. The App does not send display settings, presets, or shortcuts to Polar or the update feed.
4. Cookies
The Website uses Google Analytics to collect website usage data. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. The App itself does not use cookies.
5. Your Rights
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. You may also object to or restrict processing.

6. Data Retention
- Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's configured retention settings and terms
- Preferences, settings, presets, shortcuts, and trial/license records remain locally until changed or removed
- Settings-database recovery copies remain in Application Support until manually removed
7. Children's Privacy
teenydisplay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at teenydisplay.com/privacy. Your continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
